No offence if you're not seeing the bugs, you're not paying enough attention...? My issue with the drivers BTW was my affiliate was consistently 1-3 seconds faster than both my drivers. After hiring him his pace dropped by 4 seconds.......due to Mentality ( a known bug). I play on the most realistic settings possible, in fact I started with less facilities than the hardest setting allows, so maybe 110% difficulty because I LIKE a challenge, but when they game mechanics are unrealistic and basically FAKE difficulty (something games without depth do) then the realism has gone.

@@SimUKReviews i do see the bugs, I just have a high tolerance for them. I played Cyberpunk 2077 at launch and loved it xD Not at all saying that they should not be fixed, though. Just because they aren't intrusive for me doesn't mean that they aren't for others. I also started with the lowest facilities, with the exclusion of those that can't start unbuilt, obviously. My experience with the mentality system was probably scewed, however. I went for maximum up-front payment from sponsors, and staggered my facility upgrades over the season, which seems to work charms in raising morale within the team. Granted, the biggest difference, I think, was that my drivers were rated high 70s, so I was able to bring in top 15 results in chaotic races, so performance morale was never that low, which may be another reason why my experience has been different to yours. I guess the best way to raise morale is to show signs of investment, signing key staff of higher ratings for the next season, early in the current season and facility upgrades. But I 100% agree that the morality system needs a rework/patch. Another smaller detail that I would like is the ability to choose your affiliate drivers, if any, at the starting screen. They just sap you of funds, and at the end of the day you'll most likely save a small amount of money just terminating both contracts from the get go, depending on the generated contract.

Yes I agree, the affiliate program is poor. Mentality issue is worse than you think, I finished 13th - 15th in 4 of my first 5 races and others have commented who were in the points and competing but still getting low mentality because car performance was off....well in both those instances the car performance was mid table....but Mentality ruins a drivers ability to drive. Furthermore the areas my drivers wanted improving (to boost their mentality) were done & even upgraded the sim to lv2. Other bugs like setups switching on you when you change tyres (try it). Pit crew cannot be trained on jack etc... These are bugs from F1M21 and the devs are rolling out shallow and badly implemented features year after year....I won't pretend otherwise 😌

@@SimUKReviews it’s heavily discounted on GamePass rn. Hopefully you get some extra love from the algorithm gods. I bought it yesterday. The player inventory clears out at 7 when the customers start showing up. I think it to prevent us from using our inventory like extra refrigerator space?

Did you play on the hardest difficultly?? If not, then yes you played a very diff game. My car on paper is competitive...my drivers are not because of Mentality.....The devs have clarified Mentality is broken and needs fixing. Not sure what else to tell you other than try it on the hardest setting and good luck 👍

It´s all a matter of opinions compared to expectations someone might have had. I had high hopes for this one as well a´d was even a bit hyped for it. I agree with lots in this review and yes it´s quite negative. The comparison with EA f.ex isn´t all that bad to me. Game isn´t full price and doesn´t have all those moneygrab loot like fifa. But the mentality, contracts, a.i things are all true. And even then I enjoy the game. So if you do too...excellent. enjoy it.

@@SimUKReviews I wrote it as someone who play like 600h on motorsport manager and every f1 manager game…i got what xou wanted to say in this video..f1 manager is prettier but shallower..and its true but after i watched the whole video i got feeling that you didnt liked the game before you started..yes mentality is broken..i have pistri who has like all stats 99 when overall is on 84…i played 3 seasons and one of them on hard race hard development..i havent got problem with development..just with money but not with development..so i thought u might dont know how development works in this game thats all..but after you r mainly right with your opinion mby being to pesimistic..but thats my opinion

@@SimUKReviews so it is an issue that they have ackbowleged then? well thats better than nothing. There's also the issue of upgrades not actually doing anything meaningful.

Upgrades ATM appear to be overridden with Mentality...hence the issue.
